Facebook

Is anyone on MySpace anymore? I never was, so that world is foreign to me.

I love Facebook and its many perks, however. I also like the latest phone company commercial where the child asks his father to quit updating his status all the time with mundane information. (ie, "I'm sitting on....the.....patio.") Awesome!

While I do understand its obvious flaws....and self-loving qualities.....Facebook is a daily survival tool for me. When play dough and Thomas the Train threaten to push me over the edge, I escape to this little online world I also live in......blogging, facebook, email.....and feel a slight relief.

I joined just as Blake moved to Kansas City last year and I started my 7 month stint as a single mother of three. It was a way for me to connect with the outside world.....have daily interaction and entertainment....regardless of how trivial it all was. I still like it.

Found this recent article about the 12 most annoying types of facebookers. So funny and so true. Check it out here.

My favorite? The Maddening Obscurist. Definitely!

I may be the "friend Padder"...but I am not trying to be...and I'm not that popular! Being a recruiter has really been good/bad for my facebook...sometimes I know WAY more than I want to about a potential recruit!

I am a total Lurker and maybe paparazzo. I don't write much and dislike it when people post pics of me on their page...they can't see them on mine..EVEYTHING is blocked. I've heard and had people I know get "caught" or not get a job b/c of stuff on FB.

That is awesome! I know lots of friend padders.

The people that tell you when they are "having coffee" annoys me more than anything.

I like FB too but hate all those stupid quizzes people take and they show up in your news feed.
Also - I'm with CoCo - I hate the people that write -- "I'm deciding on what to eat for lunch." WTF? As far as people posting pix of me. I'm fine with it as long as it's not a drunken picture and I think my group knows better than to do that. Just not appropriate.

BTW - I got off my space years ago but Buddy still has a page my nieces made for him! I hardly ever check it though!

I don't get why people want to be so private about their stuff. My Facebook friends are my daughter, mom, grandma, clients, vendors, high school friends, current friends, my boss, my employee, etc. I update a lot, post pics, etc. Nothing to hide even though I'm not exactly PC.
