Book Club - The Help

Sounds good to me! I have read this one recently and LOVED it. Would love to read it again.

I've seen The Help at Costco for around $12. Assuming Sam's has it, too. Half Price sells it for $12.97, I believe. Amazon's link is here, with used copies starting at $10.00.

I'm happy to lend my copy to anyone in the KC area.

Let me know if you're in!

I read this book a few months back and loved it, although it was so disgusting to me the way some people treated others a mere 50 years ago! And it is always amazing to me how some authors can brilliantly write from several characters' perspectives at once--very similar to Jodi Picoult's style of writing, which I absolutely love. Good pick, Casey!

I read the jacket on this last week at Costco and almost bought it. Then the following night was discussing it with a neighbor who wants to read it too. I am heading there tomorrow night and plan on picking it up - stopping my current read and reading this! BTW - I almost bought the Laura Bush biography too ... so Kelly isn't the only one who likes her!

You have already read the Help. So that is kind of cheating isn't it?

Just trying to keep you honest.

I had also read Eat Pray Love, Coco. Try and keep up.

This one was suggested by friends......in the comments section on the last review......try and keep up there, too.

You better read this one!

Can I still opt in for the book club? I checked out The Help from the library today. So, how does this work? Will you do a blog post to start the discussion at the end of July? I've always wanted to be in a book club!
