So much stuff.......hold on tight.....
Lainey's bangs are finally growing out and rather than getting too complicated, Blake has taken to tying it back in a look not unlike one I wore back in the 80's. Well done, babe.
Punkin pie Jack is a bike riding fool. Here he is holding up his imaginary trophy Blake tells him to race for each time he takes off down the street. Lainey and Jack have been known to get in screaming fights over this imaginary trophy. Hard to explain.
We're at the pool every day of the week right now. Lookin' good. And, I'll go ahead and state for the record that Lainey made the tutu suit famous last season because everyone has a version of it now.....Target, Old Navy, etc.......and they're all darling. She's such a trend setter.
Carter and his buddies.....Dalton and Miles. Good kids. We're so lucky to have them and their parents as neighbors.
Seriously, people? You thought that ring was real? No way. This is the ring I wear because my diamond engagement ring is kept tightly safe in our home because I'm afraid to lose it. It was Blake's mom's diamond. I've bent the prongs more times than I care to mention in 10 years or marriage. Had planned to re-set it for our 10 Year Anniversary, but skipped that after our recent change of events. No big deal. I'm just as happy with my single band.
Jack and Elaina (another Lainey) at the pool.
Blake can still throw our big boy, Carter! I'm impressed.
Lainey's a little fish swimming laps around the pool, but Jack prefers to sit on the side with the ladies. All in good time.....
Umh.......perhaps one of my favorite pictures EVER of my handsome husband. I melt.
Don't be scared Laine. A few days after this pool trip, Lainey learned to DIVE. Head first. And, then swim to the ladder, get out of the pool and dive again. The kid has no fear. Or, reservation about showing up her older brother, Jack.
There he is. Punkin. You stay on the steps until you're ready, sweet boy.
Glamour shot (learned from Dad) with Meow Meow. Work it, girl.
Had a pre-Memorial Day cookout with the Weil fam. This is Sass's sister.....Katie (who needs a blog). Yes, I will continue to write that after her name until she gets one. Love you, Katie!
Watermelon (Laine's fave), cupcakes, sugar galore.
We went down to their back yard to play some bocce ball. So fun.
We're blurry here......but had to post this. I babysat this sweet girl when she was a toddler. Love her so much. So happy we're friends now as adults.
The games continued until the rain started!
Memorial Day at the Starnes casa. Dinner on our favorite patio.
Yum. Malinda, don't look at the next picture. (She has a thing about food on bones. I actually understand it.)
Dig in, Laine.
Coco brought all the kids Life is Good shirts upon her visit a few weeks ago. So cute.
We bought our own bocce ball/croquet set for the summer.
Love seeing Jack in Carter's hand-me-downs. This was a classic.
Kids loved the games.
And, only one minor injury when Jack whacked Lainey with the club (with a suitable time-out to follow). I'd say that's a successful evening in this house!
Carter set up an obstacle course for the kids.
Good times. Simple times. Lovin' summer.
That's it for now, peeps. Blake has another interview this week and I'm working a bunch. Life is good!
