Ski Day

Early tomorrow morning, we leave for Vail, CO. We've never been as a family and are a bit apprehensive as to what sort of accommodations they will have for the babies, but we're going to give it a try. It is, after all, the largest ski resort in the country. I believe we'll be able to make do with their resources.

After a trip out to the National Western Stock Show today (pictures later) and then dinner with my Mom's Club tonight, we're home getting ready. Each trip into the mountains takes much preparation, including laying out clothes for each kid, packing coats and cold weather gear, making lunches and organizing snacks, and more.

A few photos of the scene each evening before we head out. This doesn't even include gathering skis, boards and boots!

We'll leave close to 6:00am, so having these things done now is crucial because our kids are typically a bit grouchy in the morning. Dad, too!

Once we get there, it's worth all of the work and prep. The mountains are just so beautiful. We are lucky to live here.
