Casey...when little Carter was just a newborn, I really needed to run to the mall to exchange a baby gift...just wanted to get in and out...no issues, real fast. Preston, who was 3 at the time, was playing in his Batman costume...full on cape, suit with the built-in muscles, mask with the Batman "ears", and on his feet were his favorite green camo rain boots from Old Navy. I asked him to change his clothes, so that we could leave. He REALLY didn't want to take his costume off, so I gave in...You know, pick and choose your battles...and let him wear it. He also wanted to bring his baby, Max, with him...and the little stroller, he begged me to buy him at Toys R Us, to push him in. By the way, Max was the baby I gave him when Carter was born because the entire time I was pregnant, he kept saying he had a baby in his tummy. Long story short, we went to the mall, walked in Nordstrom...me pushing Carter in his stroller, Preston in his Batman costume, pushing Max in a miniature stroller...Quite a site. As we walked past the escalators, the man on the piano started playing the theme song from Batman, and everyone turned toward us and smiled. So much for being inconspicuous...but I will always laugh when I reminisce about that day. Moral of the story: Enjoy the memorable days with Jack in his choo choo boots. =)
I hate to be a pest, but I'm really depressed today...neither you or Coco has posted today and I have nothing to read...BTW, I kinda like the boots too!!
Oh the boots are precious! Such a little boy thing. Soladay family's story is hilarious! I started LOL when I pictured the little batman pushing a baby stroller!
