The laptop I'm working on now is a Compaq Evo N600c. Circa 1984.
I've always taken Blake's hand-me-downs, gratefully and with few problems. This one, however, is past its prime and is just barely hanging on. A new fancy one has been ordered and is due to ship at the end of this month. One that was designed for me - just me - and I couldn't be more excited about it's arrival. Until then, I will continue to work on this one, but at any moment, it could explode, set on fire, shut down without notice. So, if you find the blog out of date and without my usual daily post, you'll know why.
The anticipation of my living without a computer is not a good thing. I'm a junkie now and that's hard for me to say because just a few years ago I was the last person on earth living without a cell phone. Now, I'm hooked and it's my connection to the outside world - my escape - when Teletubbies and the Higglytown Heroes just aren't cutting it. So, please say some prayers for me should you notice my absence.
