Card Wreath

Last night, Carter and I worked on gifts for our neighbors. We're making card wreaths and personalized ornaments. Wreaths were finished last night and today, while the babies nap, we'll work on the ornaments.

This is one of my favorite things to bring out each year, so I was thrilled to make it for friends and family. And, it's an inexpensive gift. Materials you'll need:

embroidery hoop - $1.79
clothes pins - $1.99 for 24 count (one wreath uses about 14 pins)
ribbon - $5.00 for 30 feet (one wreath uses about 8 feet)

***Wrap the ribbon around the top of the hoop, covering the brackets. Glue the ribbon to the hoop so that the ribbon stays put and hides the brackets. Tie a bow at the top. Hot glue clothes pins around the hoop, alternating 2 facing outward and then 1 in.

We made 5 last night and need to go back for more supplies. I think this will make a great teacher gift. If she already has something at home to use, the wreath could be used in the classroom.

This was in Martha Stewart Living several years ago, so you could research for more specific instructions. Enjoy!
