We took Lainey for her first haircut this afternoon. Lollilocks in Boulder is a really cute salon, similar to Sweet and Sassy or other places like it, depending on what part of the country you're in.
She did very well and looks super cute!
Look at those highlights. Her hair is changing from brown to sandy blonde it seems. It was nearly black at birth! Lots of transition in one year.
She layered it a bit, but kept the natural A-line style it was growing into.
Sit still, baby girl!
Maybe a lollipop will help.
Yep! She loved it.
Haircut over. Time for a style.
Our baby girl looks like a toddler. When it's not up in piggy tails, it flips a bit at the ends. Curlier now, too. Bangs swoop to the right.
I was caught off guard with all of the stylist's questions. I'm used to saying, "#4, Little Boy Regular, Longer on Top". More to cover with a girl!
Afterwards, Blake took the kids down to the Grand Rabbits Toy Store. Lots of hands on stuff inside. I stayed back to pay the bill and shop for bows. They have the cutest hair accessories and I'm a sucker for all of them. 1 "first timer cut" (cut, style, photo, lock of hair on her picture card, etc), 2 boys' cuts, 8 bows.....nearly $100 later....I joined the crew at the toy shoppe.
Back at home....a better look at her hair.
And, Carter.....cut, but still shaggy.
And, with Jack who got quite a bit cut off. He needed it. Was starting to look like the Nick Nolte mug shot.
