Pumpkin Prep

The little ones and I spent some time outside yesterday washing our pumpkins for the season and decorating the front porch. Washing pumpkins, you ask? By now, you must know we don't do anything normally around here.

Try it! They turn out looking tons better than when you bought them. Spray them with laquer and they're even prettier! Paint with a glitter wash, crackle, etc. I could go on and on.

We moved on to planting mums today, but no pictures there. We're officially ready for fall. Halloween decor won't be out until October 1, as directed by Blake. It's a good thing he made this rule. If not, we'd see faux pumpkins in July.

The kids loved helping, even though they didn't know what they were doing.

"What? I'm not eating the soap."

"Really, Mama, I'm not."

Pretty blue eyed boy.

Casey, If Blake is leaving in a few weeks then you can start decorating the second he walks out the door!
