Making It All Worth It With One Sentence

After the boys return from their ice cream outing.

Mom - "Carter, can I have a bite? What flavor is it?

Carter - "Birthday cake."

Mom - "Oh, yum. That's one of the things I love most about you. You pick the best flavors."

Later, when I tell him how our itinerary has changed in the morning.

Mom - "So, we're going to go to the Hot Springs Pool and then to hike in Aspen. Sound good?"

Carter - "We're going to the biggest pool of all pools since the history of pools? Seriously?"

Mom - "Well, pretty much. I'll give you the history tomorrow."

Carter - "Oh, Mom. That's one of the things I love most about you. You're the best planner."

Major ongoing life goal met. What shall I shoot for now?
